Image
First Scene: There's a piece of paper displayed clearly in the middle of the composition. The actor lays out the following materials onto the composition: a pencil, the Staedtler eraser, and a paper that has the Staedtler logo to indicate what is advertising. This scene will use the Rule of Thirds composition. The song, Vivaldi- 'Allegro con molto' from "Winter," from the "The Four Seasons", will cue shortly in the scene. Second Scene: There will be a close up shot of the artist starting to sketch and shade their drawing deliberately. This will either be in multiple shots of the drawing's gradual modeling. There will be a cutaway to this scene: suddenly, a spotlight will cast down on the Staedtler eraser to highlight its importance. Pencils, large piece of paper, a table to draw on, and a finished pencil drawing (the process in its making will be documented in the commercial) will the additional other props .  I will ensure that the pencils will have no logo showing so it’s obvious Staedtler is the one being advertised. Research: Commercial Conventions Of Staedtler

For my commercial, I’m doing an eraser commercial for the brand ‘Staedtler.’ Staedtler is a popular art & stationery brand. The audience tends to see drawings and characters engaging in art-related activities. These are the following commercial conventions: Props include paper, pencils, and erasers displayed clearly in the frame.  They tend to have drawings done by the actors made with a particular product, such as color pencil, shading pencils, fine liners, etc. They are typically close up shots of the characters’ hands and their drawings, along with the particular product they’re advertising. Tends to have establishing shots of the setting and characters. There are mid-shots of the characters. A common camera angle is a high angle. These angles showcase the paper and the medium or product being used. Staedtler commercials tend to use high-key lighting, in order to display the product and its logo in a clear manner. The camera showcases the Staedtler logo clearly to the audience.
