Storyboard For My Staedtler Eraser Commercial
First Scene: There's a piece of paper displayed clearly in the middle of the composition. The actor lays out the following materials onto the composition: a pencil, the Staedtler eraser, and a paper that has the Staedtler logo to indicate what is advertising. This scene will use the Rule of Thirds composition. The song, Vivaldi- 'Allegro con molto' from "Winter," from the "The Four Seasons", will cue shortly in the scene.
Second Scene: There will be a close up shot of the artist starting to sketch and shade their drawing deliberately. This will either be in multiple shots of the drawing's gradual modeling. It will consist of short takes. The short takes will contain the artist gradual process in rendering the face.
Third Scene: The music suddenly stops. There will be a cutaway to this scene: suddenly, a spotlight will cast down on the Staedtler eraser to highlight its importance. The artist grabs the eraser out of the frame.
Fourth Scene: There will also be a cutaway, the camera will track the artist's handling of the eraser as it's making highlights onto the face. It will show extreme close-up shots of the eraser, not showing the final drawing (this would create anticipation). In this scene the camera is constantly moving throughout the scene.
Fifth Scene: Initially the scene will be blurry, then it will focus gradually onto the eye. This will be a focus pull, which will focus on the eye. It will be a close-up of the eye, showing the values and shadows of the eye. Then, the camera will zoom out revealing the entire drawing.
Sixth Scene: In this scene, the entirety of the drawing is completely in the frame. The artist lays out the Staedtler eraser and the pencil into the frame to indicate that the drawing is finished. The song ends dramatically. The scene will be in a Canted(Dutch) angle. The scene fades in to black and the Staedler logo will show up.
All of these scenes will be approximately 5 seconds. The song, Vivaldi- 'Allegro con molto' from "Winter," from the "The Four Seasons," is played throughout the commercial
