Planning for my Music Video

Props

The props that I will likely use will challenge and conform with the conventional props that is used in indie music videos. For the unconventional props, I want to use a frying pan and breakfast foods such as eggs, toast, bacon, etc. I'm planning to do a scene where the actress makes breakfast. Another prop that I will use is tissues, since I wanna do a scene where the character is crying. I will also use a bed, for the first scene, I want to do a scene where the character wakes up in the morning. Also, I'm planning to use my mailbox and it will contain 'love letters.' This scene will be where the character will receive 'love letters' from her then-partner. For the conventional props, I may want to include a bike, accompanied with a scene where the character is biking through the neighborhood. I also want to include plants and some greenery to liven the space in the background of the music video. 

Costumes

Since I'm the only actress, I may wear just one outfit throughout the whole video as I don't want to overwhelm myself with wardrobe changes in between takes. The outfit I may wear some blue shorts and a tan button up top with white sneakers and gold jewelry, or I will wear baggy pants with a white top and denim jacket, also accessorized with white sneakers and gold jewelry.

Schedule

11/20/20: Prep all of the props, costume, and look at the weather app to see when it will rain and when it will be sunny.

11/25/20: Start dumping some footage that were already filmed and edit from the takes, so there will be a lighter load of footage to handle with, rather than dumping all the footage at once.

11/30/20: Film more takes as necessary that will be included in the final product. Blog about the filming process

12/2/20: Compile all the fianl shots together to finalize the finished product. Add the music onto the video.

12/5/20: Export the music video as an mp4. file and upload it to Blogger.

Location

I'm planning to film in my bedroom, kitchen, back & front yard, and throughout my neighborhood (for the biking scene). 

Backup Plan

If there are days where it's raining and the takes that I'm filming are outside, I may have to film everything inside and change the initial takes I wanted to create. For example, if I'm doing a biking scene, I may want to do another activity, like painting, watching TV, etc.
